What is Mesothelioma?
How do you get Mesothelioma? What are some forms of treatment? There are many, many questions about Mesothelioma. On this blogsite, I will be sharing facts about Mesothelioma to help society to become more aware of Mesothelioma.

The first, and most common type of Mesothelioma is Pleural Mesothelioma. Pleural Mesothelioma attacks the lungs and chest cavity. The most common symptoms of Pleural Mesothelioma include (but are not limited to) shorotness of breath, chest pain, build-up of fluid in the lungs and trouble swallowing. Og course, the shortness of breath and chest pains are caused by this fluid build-up. Other symptoms of Pleural Mesothelioma include heavy weitht loss, trouble swallowing and swelling of the face and neck.

The second form of Mesothelioma, and much more rare, is Peritoneal Mesothelioma. Peritoneal mesothelioma affects the abdominal cavity, usually resulting in tumors which can press agaainst the abdoominal wall. Some symptoms of Peritoneal Mesothelioma include abdominal swelling and pain, vomiting and loss of apetite. These symptoms are caused by the abdominal tumors. Other symptoms of Peritoneal Mesothelioma include fever, blood clotting problems, anemia and blwel ovstruction.

THe third, and most rare form of Mesothelioma is called Pericardial Mesothelioma starts in the area surrounding the heart, and can spread into the chest and other parts of the body, including the abdomen, and even reproductive organs. Some symptoms of Pericardial Mesothelioma include chest pain, shortness of breath and persistent coughing, much like Pleural Mesothelioma. However, your doctor can perform an X-ray to determine which form of Mesothelioma you have.

Pleural Mesothelioma is the most common form of this disease, and therefore, its symptoms are generally attributed to Mesothelioma. however, it is very important to be familiar with all sumptoms of Mesothelioma. Even if you only know someone who has been exposed to asbestos, there is still a chance that you may have become infected. You should have regular chedk-ups with your physician, and be sure to inform him/her that you may have been exposed.

I will be posting more information on this terrible and common disease soon. I hope that this information will help someone who is seeking information on this awful disease, or someone who is experiencing symptoms, or knows of someone who is, to be checked by their doctor while it is in its early stages. Helping just one person makes it worthwhile to post this information.

Blessings.
